Basic Photography Courses
When I first started photography about 7 years ago I looked around my area to find someone who could teach me the basics & could find no one closer than 35 miles away, so as soon as I felt able to pass on my skills I offered my services to people within my local area.
I now run half day practical landscape photography courses for beginners to digital photography. I do this on a one to one basis usually but I am prepared to teach several people together if the client should so wish.
The first course teaches the basics of landscape photography to enable the client to start taking well composed photographs & get away from taking all their photos using camera automatic settings.
The second course teaches the next steps to taking that perfect landscape photograph & is aimed at the person who has moved from using point & shoot cameras to a DSLR camera.
It teaches the use of histograms, exposure compensation & filters.
The cost is £25 per half day instruction on a one to one basis.
If it is a group of people (up to 4 at any one session) the cost is £20 per person.
The instruction is carried out in the south east corner of Hamphire & the south west corner of West Sussex at anytime of the year. All you need to bring with you is a digital camera (point & shoot or DSLR), the camera manual, a tripod if you have one, a large sturdy plastic bag, a standard size carrier bag & lint free cloth (I will tell you why when you come along to the course) . We meet at various locations in this area & work out of doors come rain (within reason) or sunshine.
Basic PhotoShop Post Processing Courses
I also run courses on how to post process your RAW or JPEG photos that you have either taken on the Basic Photography Courses above or photos that you have taken on other occasions.
Following on from the RAW conversion work I can give you courses either in Adobe Photoshop Elements software, or Adobe Photoshop Lightroom or the full blown Adobe Photoshop. The choice is yours.
Each session will cost £10 per hour & last a maximum of two hours in any one session. You can either come to my house to do the learning or if you would prefer, I will come to yours. The latter will involve a small extra fee to cover my travelling expenses. These courses are run strickly on a one to one basis.
